Cara Hodges, Co-Owner
Women’s Short Precision Cuts
Balayage & Highlight Techniques
On-Location Bridal Services
Cara is the co-owner of Bliss & Co. and also works as a stylist behind the chair. She has been licensed 27 years as a hairstylist, however she feels like her hair days started way earlier. Cara says that hair has always been a major part of her life, even at the age of 4 she remembers trimming the bushes on her grandparents patio with tiny scissors, pretending to give them a “haircut”. Her kindergarten report card remarks read “cuts well with scissors,” and that tag line still follows her today. In high school, she even did her friends hair for their high school prom, and charged them, oh my! Some of those ladies still sit in her chair today along with many, many loyal and longtime guests who celebrate 15-20+ years with Cara. Cara says that she views hair and working with hair as her favorite form of entertainment. She also sees herself as a true people person and is open and accepting of all types of people and loves finding out what makes someone unique and individual. Cara feels that her success as a stylist has come first and foremost from continually participating in educational classes and events. In her first year of doing hair she found her passion for precision cutting and customized hair color while attending the Jingles academy in NYC. Some of her advanced education highlights include Wella International Color and Cut academy in Los Angeles, Lanza advanced haircutting in Milan, Italy, the Balayage academy at L’Oreal, New York City, Vidal Sassoon Classic cut training, San Francisco, Paul Mitchell’s Signature Gathering, Las Vegas and many, many more. Cara also worked as an advanced educator with Framesi International, Wella International, and the one dearest to her heart, John Paul Mitchell Systems. She has had the opportunity to travel and learn from top educators and work side by side with industry icons all over the US. She has worked as a national trainer with Paul Mitchell Systems and as a platform artist while running two busy salons and having a thriving clientele. In 2014 Cara met, and soon thereafter, married the love of her life and his two children, and now lives in Danville, Virginia. She has an hour commute to and from work daily Monday-Thursday but loves to spend her ride time listening to podcasts and educational classes about how to keep Bliss & Co. at the top of our game while creating the best customer service experience available. Cara enjoys pushing herself out of her comfort zone because she feels that is where the most growth occurs. She feels like she is highly motivated and ambitious but likes to balance that with having fun in all situations and keeping a positive attitude with realistic perspective. If you sit in Cara’s chair, you can be sure that she will be open to listening to your hair dreams and goals, and will devise a plan to achieve it that will truly make you feel like you’re in hair Bliss. Cara has a very busy schedule but encourages you to get on her wait list, as cancellations do come up. She never wants to close her book to receiving new clients, but does have intense loyalty to her long time supporters.

Heather Moon, Co-Owner
Heather is the co-owner of Bliss & Co. and also an incredibly talented stylist behind the chair. Heather brings 23 years of experience in the beauty industry to each and every one of her clients. She has attended numerous cutting and color classes and events throughout the US and Europe. Caroline Webster, Salon Coordinator
Matching guests with their new favorite stylist
Finding that one last opening before you go on vacation
Caroline became the Salon Coordinator this July at Bliss & Co. after 5 years of working our front desk. She loves chatting with new and returning guests during their visits, and hearing all the new goings-on about kids, grand-kids, and favorite sports teams. (Go Pack!) She loves the challenge that the front desk provides every day with so many talented and busy stylists. When she’s not at the front desk, you can probably find her visiting one of Greensboro’s fantastic local breweries with her boyfriend, or at home cooking up something new in the kitchen with her dog Susie.
Megan Purvis, Stylist
Blonde Balayage & Highlight Techniques
Special Occasion Makeup
Megan is an “extra” little spark of light in the salon and a true powerhouse behind the chair. She is an expert at balayage, foiling and many many other blonding and dimensional color and cutting techniques. Megan also enjoys giving her clients their dream hair with a number of different extension techniques. She has been a member of the beauty industry since 2016 and attributes her quickly growing client list to her long time love for the beauty biz and her commitment to learning new techniques through advanced education she has received and is always seeking out. Megan and her tribe see her as hard working, a bit silly and self admittedly a bit “extra” sometimes. But that’s what you’ll love about her because she wants to make you look and feel “extra” too. She loves really getting to know her clients and their hair likes and needs. She is always up for being creative with new techniques to give her guests a one of a kind amazing look, perfectly suited to them. SAM TERRY, STYLIST
Brunette Balayage & Highlight Techniques
Fun, Funky Cuts & Colors
Sam is our salon “weirdo” and she’s proud of it, and so are we. She keeps us and her clients entertained with her dark sense of humor, love of true crime podcasts, and Harry Potter obsession, but even more so with her beautiful color combinations and out-of-the box “dream hair” she creates. Sam is not afraid to let you know what your hair can, and sometimes, cannot do. But if it’s possible she’s down for the plan and is a master at getting you there! Sam at times seems to be a bit of a “wizard” at seeing her clients hair dreams before they do. She conjures up her magical potions and spells by attending numerous industry events and classes, and is extremely committed to being the best at her craft. Sam feels like her no B.S. but positive approach is what keeps most of her clients coming back, coupled with the fact that she is committed to making everyone’s hair dreams and goals a reality, even if it is a process.

Celeste Penninger, Stylist
Blonde Balayage & Highlight Techniques
In-Salon and On-Site Bridal Services
Celeste joined the Bliss & Co. team in 2018 and has been going strong at building her hair following. She loves working with Blondes and knows the challenges that come along with blonde hair, as she rocks it herself. Icy blondes are her favorite to work with, because she knows that these “high maintenance” clients (we mean that in the good way!), require a committed, educated stylist that they can build a long term relationship with. Helping her guests to achieve their blonding dreams while keeping their hair at its best is what Celeste loves. She says that she loves seeing the reaction on someones face when they feel you've make them “pretty”. I mean come on, we all love a little pretty! Celeste also enjoys working with formal and wedding hair and makeup clients. She acquired her certification with Dinair Airbrush makeup after attending the academy in Hollywood, California. She uses her makeup skills to create beautifully flawless and timeless Brides and their parties. Celeste thrives on continuing education and staying up to date on new cut and color techniques. In her away-from-the-salon time she is a lover of all things “horror” related. (Ooh scary…!) She, her boyfriend, and his son enjoy fostering animals and helping them find fur-ever homes. She is also a firm believer in sustainability and supporting businesses that are environmentally friendly and against animal testing.

Danielle Soria Weeks, Stylist
Making Hair Dreams Come True
Danielle, (Dani) is Bliss & Co.’s official “Dancing Queen,” but we let her rock a little hair on the side too! Danielle’s positive and upbeat personality, not to mention her contagious laugh, are all infectious and unfaltering. But that is just a start to the fun when you sit in Danielle’s chair. Danielle loves, loves, loves to take care of people. She enjoys the constant versatility and openness of the hair industry and is looking for growth opportunities on the daily. She enjoys making her guests feel special with above and beyond service and enjoys educating them about their hair during their time with her. She loves attending industry classes and events both on her own and with her teammates, and also works side by side one day a week with salon owners Cara and Heather to further grow her skills and knowledge. Danielle attended a Paul Mitchell Academy in Illinois, but did us all a favor when she moved back to the ‘Boro, got hitched, and joined the Bliss & Co. family. Danielle is a bright ball of sunshine and a pleasure to spend time with and let her work her magic.
